I am an independent DSA Fleet Registered Trainer and can provide the same high standard of on road driver training provided by the larger fleet training companies to the large blue chip companies. Advanced driver training As a member of a couple of advanced driving groups, having taken and passed various advanced driving tests myself, I can use this knowledge to carry out advanced driver training and prepare drivers for the advanced driving tests. Eco- safe driving courses With fuel prices going up weekly, this course will show you how to drive more economically as well as improving your road safety. For a small investment, you could save hundreds of pounds. Speed awareness courses Have you got points on your licence from speeding? Do you worry about getting points on your licence for speeding? Do you rely on your licence for work or family commitments? On this course, you will learn how to recognise speed limits, where speed limits are likely to change and how to keep your speed under control. Light van and minibus familiarisation training Do you run small vans or minibuses? On this vehicle type familiarisation course, I will train your drivers to use a minibus or a light van in a safe and efficient manner. Apart from driver training, I will discuss safe loading of passengers and/ or goods and how different loads will affect the handling and braking characteristics of the vehicle. Minibus training If you run a minibus, I can carry out training for the minibus driving test. Pass plus For those who have just passed their driving test, I can do pass plus courses which are designed to raise a new driver's road awareness skills to a higher level and will introduce the driver to motorway driving. After successfully completing a course, participants will be able to make considerable savings on their car insurance. People living in York may be eligible for council subsidies. Refresher / Driving MOT check / Confidence builder This training course is ideal if you haven't driven for a long time, or are lacking in confidence and just want to brush up on your driving techniques or you want some help with strategies for dealing with driving in today's more demanding conditions. Ideal if you want a second opinion and don't want to commit to an advanced driving course UK familiarisation courses This course is designed for people new to the UK. On a UK familiarisation course the driver will be shown how to drive safely on the UK roads where quite a bit of emphasis will be placed on roundabouts, junctions, traffic light sequences and motorway driving as these are areas that can differ from country to country. This course would be ideal for anyone working as an au pair, as they can also get familiar with the vehicle that they are going to use.
