Welcome to my website. I am a self employed DSA Approved Driving Instructor and DSA Fleet Registered Trainer with over 25 years experience in driver and
instructor training. I believe in providing a quality service and always want my clients to enjoy their training and to develop their skills to a higher standard. Apart
from running my defensive driving courses, I work for Ignition Driving School as a driving instructor trainer training people to become driving instructors and
preparing them for the ADI part 1, 2 and 3 qualifying examinations.
I started out in 1984 as trainee driving instructor and spent my early years teaching learner drivers. After a few years I began to do some instructor training
helping to prepare PDI’s for their ADI qualifying examinations and have continued to do so over the years with considerable success including working full time
for one of the UK’s largest driver training organisations.
In the early 1990’s I got involved in fleet training and have worked as a fleet trainer for some of the main fleet training companies on a freelance basis. Apart
from fleet training, I have also worked as an instructor on National Driver Improvement Schemes for a couple of councils. NDIS is a defensive driving course for
drivers who have the prospect of getting points put on their driving licence for driving offences such as driving without due care and attention. By attending such
a course, they can keep the points off their driving licence.
More recently I have worked as a defensive driver trainer in Qatar and then I worked as a driver tester in Oman assessing drivers working on Petrol
Development Oman projects. Whilst in Oman, I also trained a few of the Omani driving instructor to deliver advanced driving courses.
In the past, I have also worked as a bus driver and hold a full PCV (cat D) licence and have used my experiences in delivering driver training in such vehicles.
